I have an X2630G, I do not have any of the original documentation or disks. I want to put in a new hard drive but don't want to clone the old disk, I want to do a fresh install. This machine has Windows 7 installed but has a Windows 8 logo on the side of the machine. I created a set of recovery disks using the Acer untility. But when I put the new drive in and boot from the DVD it tells me the DVD must be run in basic mode. I can't find any documentation on how to get into basic mode.

Veriton N2620G, fresh Win10 upgrade, video drivers "do not meet minimum requirements"
Not much to add here -- I've turned the machine on, IMMEDIATELY upgraded to Win10, downloaded the updated video drivers from Acer, but can't run them. Tried in Compatability Troubleshooter AND Run As Administrator AND after several fresh boots. Help!

I have an ACER M4 Series, Veriton desktop PC, Model number M4618G-Ui5240W that dies with no warning.
I have an ACER M4 Series, Veriton desktop PC, Model number M4618G-Ui5240W. The PC has an Inter Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 GHz, 4 GB of Ram and a 32 bit Operating System . I am running Windows 10.
Recently it has begun failing during normal operations. The top ¾ of the monitor will flicker with horizontal lines corrupting the video image, followed by loss of output to the monitor which goes blank. The PC then either freezes with an annoying beeping sound that continues until I perform a hard shutdown or it completely shuts itself down.
Any ideas what is causing this or what I can do to correct this issue?

Acer Veriton N2620G, wireless has vanished... drivers?
I basically upgraded to Windows 10 right out of the box, and two days after install, it looks like a Windows update has wiped out the wifi on the computer. Before rolling back with System Restore, I was wondering if there were wifi drivers for the Veriton N2620G I could try using. At this point I'm not sure if the wifi has actually failed or if it's a Windows 10 Update that's caused the failure.
Plugging it into the router directly wouldn't be impossible, but a tremendous annoyance.

Calling any Veriton 6800 users...
I have an old but sturdy 6800 with a problem I believe is due to an outdated bios. Once the system shuts down it will not respond to the power on switch until it has been unplugged wait 30 seconds and than replugged. It has the latest and last updates to Windows XP and I believe the original bios version R03-A2. Various tweaking of power configurations in windows and the bios has had no effect. I found bios version R04-A0 online and am considering flashing but wanted to get forum input before venturing down this potentially disastrous path. Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.

Veriton M480G Memory upgrade issues
Hi,
I have a Acer Veriton M480G computer with a Intel Q8300 Processor and a Intel G43 Express chipset.
The computer was shipped with a 2GB memory module (DDR3 Samsung M378B5673EH1 ) which works perfectly.
I've bought:
2 sticks of 2GB G.SKILL Memory (DDR3 F3-10600CL9D-4GBNS).
2 sticks of 2GB Transcend DDR3 1333
Unfortunately whenever I plug one of theses sticks the computer does not boot anymore and doesn't make any noise.
I've tried several confuguration, such as only one stick, up to four sticks, with or without the original module.
I've updated the bios to the latest version
I can't find any explanation into Acer's manual
Can you help me?

Update drivers & BIOS on Veriton M498G after Win10 Upgrade
After upgrading to Windows 10 how do I know which drivers I need to update? Although the Veriton M498G has a Dual Core Intel i5 CPU 3.2Ghz, the Intel Driver Update Utility doesn't find any drivers at all.
The drivers listed for the Veriton M498G on the Acer support site only list drivers for Win7. How do I know which drivers to update? My BIOS is Acer P01-A3, 5/27/2010 How do I know if I need a BIOS update?
Will any driver and BIOS updates be compatible with Win10?

New R9 380 GPU, computer Acer Veriton M2610, If i connect the GPU System Working fine but No Display
I've just purchased a new GPU r9 380, if i connect that GPU to my computer i get no display but the system is working and again when i unplug the GPU the system works fine and also the display works fine, Any Help?.

Install Windows 7 Enterprise on Veriton x4640g
We recently acquired 30 x Veriton x4640g which come preloaded with Windows 7 Professional. I have been trying for the whole day to install the Enterprise version of Windows 7 and it keeps freezing on the select language / time zone.
Although there is nothing wrong with Windows 7 Professional, it's a company policy to install only Enterprise Editions of Windows on all our systems due to the volume licencing and standardising the entire environment.
I have changed the BIOS mode from UEFI to Legacy, tried installing from a DVD and USB, I even used different brands of DVDs and USBs but the problem persist.
My next step is to upgrade the BIOS to see if that helps, a colleague also suggested network boot via Windows Deployment Services, I doubt that will fix the problem but I am grabbing at straws here any suggestions.

Veriton M490G memory upgrade not working

Greetings, i have just purchased a used Veriton M490G. I am trying to upgrade the RAM Memory from 2 x 2GB to 2 x 4GB Mushkin DDR3 - 1333. I have tried all combinations and the comp will not recognize the new RAM. The specs are exactly as indicated in the manual.
After reading everything i can find in this community i now see that there is a list of compatible brands that will work for a veriton m490g. Can someone i here tell me what 4GB brands will work for this unit.

CPU fan spinning at over 6000 rpm?
I have a Veriton L4630G with fan running especially hard. The BIOS reports my CPU fan is spinning at over 6000 rpm. Is there a way to slow it down or to reset the software controlling it?

desktop freezes intermittently
We have a Veriton X4618G that intermittently freezes with no obvious inciting event. It used to respond to ctrl-alt-del, but not often requires a hard shutdown. The started while we were using the installed Windows 7 and has continued with an upgrade to Windows 10. It happens at differing times and occurs 0 to 4 times a day. Any thoughts? THANKS!!

Veriton M4620G erecovery installs on wrong partition
I have a Veriton M4620G that a user has upgraded on windows 10 pro (it was offsite). Now I am briging this computer back to the office for a user and want to install windows 7 pro instead. So I use the recovery button on the front while booting and it takes me to erecovery just fine. I can then ask it to completely reinstall the software, I get to choose from windows 7 and 8. It then askes for the destination disk. It should tell me it will be installing on C: Acer and that it has around 200GB of space to install on, but it goes on an unmouted partition called Acer with 400MB available. Needless to say, it doesn't work. Is there anyway I can set the right partition to be selected first? The computer still boots in windows 10 anyways, or I could use a boot CD to access partitions. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
